The History of Computers
So what’s the real jargon-rich definition for a computer? A computer is a programmable machine designed to automatically carry out a sequence of arithmetic or logical operations. A general purpose computer has four main components: the arithmetic logic unit (ALU), the control unit, the memory, and the input and output devices (collectively termed I/O). - Wikipedia
